ABOUT ME

From the time I was a little girl I loved writing.

I was raised in a loving Christian home, where my mother chose the life of a stay at home mom. She homeschooled us and taught us moral character. But most of all, she introduced us to the Saviour.

When I was 10 years old, that Saviour became personal to me. I realized that I was sinner, and that I desperately needed Jesus Christ. I cried out to Him, and He saved me.

He made me a new person.

My life is not my own. I strive to live it for His glory. Being a wife, and a mother is His call on my life. Homeschooling my children was not just a choice I made because I was raised that way. I believe there is no other option.

Besides my calling as a wife, a mother, and the teacher of my children, I have another call.

Writing.

I dabble in many hobbies. Photography, drawing, painting, quilting, gardening, just to name some of them.

But writing has always tugged at my core.

I began to love it through reading, and homeschooling. My mother approached teaching English in a free, non-constricted way and I spread my wings and began to explore stories. I grew a love for reading and would get lost in a good story.

But what began to frustrate me was the lack of good clean fiction. I wanted more, but it was hard to find.

That was when I decided to write my own stories. If I couldn't find them, I would write them.

I wrote an entire novel around the age of 13, start to finish.

I still have it in a binder at home. No, I never published it. But maybe one day, I will.

Around the age of 15, a story idea began to grow in my mind.

I wrote, and then rewrote, and then deleted things and tried different ways to make it come to life.

Ultimately this book taking shape in my head was a little bit of struggle to get through. A lot of changes began happening in my life during that time. Moving. We joined a new church, with a very active youth group. I grew older, got married, and started having kids.

Needless to say, the book idea got put on the back burner. At one point, I figured maybe I just wasn't cut out to write it.

But it  NEVER left the back of my mind. The desire would always spring back up in me. and I would long to write it again.

And one day, it clicked with me. Is this desire something God has placed inside of me? To write wholesome clean stories for young adults and children?

I do believe it is.

And so folks, that story is being WRITTEN.

And I have to say I am so excited to begin this journey, and would love for you to tag along with me as I discover what this is all meant to be!

Are you a young person or a woman with a desire to create stories just like me? I would LOVE to connect with you! Feel free to check out the blog, and comment and lets do this together!

And let's see what God will do!
